Jarrod Lodge

Director & Senior Developer

Founder of Calo, Jarrod leverages technology to improve processes and enhance user experiences. With his broad knowledge and diverse skill set, he delivers cutting-edge digital solutions that drive business growth and ease compliance burdens.

As a natural connector Jarrod has a large network to draw on, and can always find the right contributors, collaborators and contractors for every project. A skilled digital solutions professional, he uses his software development expertise, understanding of processes and desired business outcomes to seamlessly take projects from initial concept to MVP to successful release.

Jarrod uses his expertise in mechatronics, software development and IoT devices, and his understanding of how devices work in a system, to develop innovative solutions. He draws on his experience in software engineering, hardware integration, embedded systems, user experience and design to find the right solution for every client.

Malachi Batt

Junior Developer

Malachi is a motivated junior developer and has been exploring the possibilities of coding and technology since tinkering with computers as a nine year old. He has taken every opportunity to extend his knowledge, from development projects in Python and HTML to upskilling in 3D design and printing.

With his combination of practical hands on experience in the automotive and rural sector, understanding of software and drive to keep learning, Malachi fits right in at Calo, as we strive to use digital technology to solve business and operational problems.

Dianne

Junior Developer

Dianne is a junior developer that has previously studied Data Science at University of Otago, having experience in R, SQL, Java, Python and HTML, CSS and Javascript as a hobbyist in web development. Her skills equally weigh between coding and the arts, emphasizing on 2D illustration and creative writing, and aspires to create interactive web projects utilising the two subjects.

Shane

Gateway Student

Shane is a motivated 17-year-old student passionate about computer science, programming, and game development. He has honed his skills in a variety of programming languages including Python, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue 3. Shane has applied his knowledge to practical projects, including the creation of a demo game for a local town hall. This demonstrates his ability to translate his passion into tangible results and his goal is to make his very own video game.

The calculations for weight loading allowances are complicated, and mixing truck and trailer lengths adds complexity. We built FiveASH a tool to allow drivers to quickly and accurately calculate safe and legal loads, giving them reassurance they are meeting safety and compliance guidelines.
